Oil derived from different kinds of fruits, seeds, grains, and nuts is referred to as vegetable oil (all considered vegetables for this purpose). Canola, coconut, corn, cottonseed, olive, palm, palm kernel, peanut, safflower, soybean, and sunflower oils are the most often used types.
