SPINACH
Stove Top Cooking Instructions: Pour desired amount of frozen spinach into saucepan with 1/2 cup of boiling water. Bring to full boil over high heat. Separate with a fork if necessary, for uniform cooking. Reduce heat, cover and simmer to desired tenderness about 4 to 6 minutes. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste. Microwave Instructions: Place 2 cups of frozen spinach and 2 tablespoons of water in a microwave-oven safe dish. Cover and cook on high power for 2 minutes. Stir and continue cooking 2 more minutes. Let stand covered 2 minutes. Season to taste. For each additional cup of spinach add 1 1/2 minutes of cooking time. Do not overcook. Microwave ovens may vary. Heating time may require adjustment. Cook thoroughly to a temperature of 165 degrees F or 74 degrees C.
Keep frozen. Keep frozen until ready to use.
