PRECOOKED DEGERMINATED WHITE CORN
Prepare your Ideal Masa: 2 Harina flour + 2-1/4 water _ 1 salt = 1.85 lb masa. Instruccions to Prepare Masa: Measure and pour the water in a bowl, add salt and dissolve. Slowly add the 2 cups of Juana pre-cooked corn meal while mixing the water and the flour. Once the water has been completely incorporated, knead from 2 to 3 minutes until obtaining a very soft masa. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Instruccions to Prepare Arepa: Divide masa into 10 masa balls of approximately 3 ounces each. Pat with your hands each one of the masa balls to form a patty (arepa). Cook on a griddle at medium high heat for 5 minutes on each side. Cover with a cloth napkin to keep them soft and warm. Slice arepas halfway horizontally and fill with your favorite dish.
