Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot, refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Cooking Instructions: Frying - Slice sausage cold with a sharp knife to form approximately 1 ounce patties. Place on cold frying pan and turn heat to medium (300 degrees to 350 degrees). Turn sausage frequently, cooking approximately 12 minutes using these instructions and suggested thickness. Overcooking causes toughness. Broiling - Slice sausage cold with a sharp knife to form approximately 1 ounce patties. Place on broiling pan approximately 5 inches from top of oven, and turn heat to broil. Cook 4 to 5 minutes. Turn sausage and cook additional 4 minutes.
